Rugby union playerTamara was born in Exeter and lived in central Africa with her parents and older brother until she was seven. At 17,Tamara was selected into the England students team and went on to be selected for the England Academy, A team and eventually the Elite playing squad where she represented her country 115 times over 13 years. During that time, Tamara completed her BSc in biomedical sciences and captained her club, university and country. She also competed in four World Cups, and 11 6 Nations championships and is currently a double world-record holder for playing the highest games of rugby on Mount Everest last year. Tamara is the first female athlete to hold a testimonial year, which is currently underway.
