Laura Tenison MBE
As Founder and CEO of JoJo Maman Bébé, Laura has grown the company organically from a kitchen table start-up in 1993 to becoming the UK’s leading boutique mother and baby brand. Offering in-house designed baby & children’s apparel, maternity wear, nursery products, gifts, and toys; JoJo offers everything you need from pregnancy to pre-school. With start-up capital of just £50K and two part-time members of staff, JoJo now has a gross turnover of £70M and employs over 900 people.
Offering sophisticated omni-channel retail, the web-platform is supported by extensive digital content and experiential shopping via 90 stores across the UK and Ireland. The company continues to expand domestically from the vantage point of being the only boutique specialist in the maternity, baby & child sector and has doubled its digital business to represent 60% of turnover in the past 12 months.
JoJo Maman Bébé is a Certified B Corporation, a hard to achieve accreditation which audits the company ethos of putting people and the planet above profit. The company engages in numerous philanthropic and environmental projects including:
